In six easy steps you can design a corrugated steel water tank that fits your specifications and requirements
The tank inlet is a mosquito-proof mesh strainer that fits in the lid of the tank. The strainer is designed to be taken out for cleaning on a regular basis. The default size is 400mm diameter, or 500mm diameter on larger round tanks. You can select the position of the inlet to make the installation of your tank as neat as possible. Our tank inlets are supplied with a light guard underneath. The light guard helps to prevent algae, by keeping sunlight from contacting the water in your tank.
Our tank outlets are cast alloy compression fittings. They are installed at the factory, and fit through the wall of the tank. They hold water pressure and are normally installed at the lowest corrugation of the tank wall. There are a variety of sizes and threads available. The threads are BSP type, and the default outlet is 25mm (1″). The position of each fitting can be defined at the time of order.
A tank overflow is fitted to the tank at the factory. The overflow is normally placed at the top of the wall of the tank. The position can be determined at the time of ordering. Overflows fittings are made from PVC, and are designed to mate up to a PVC elbow to direct excess water away from the home and into a drain point. The diameter of the overflow fitting can be selected from a range of common stormwater pipe sizes.
